Another side of Bob and more!

More frailer than the flowers, these precious hours
That keep us so tightly bound
You come to my eyes like a vision from the skies
And I'll be with you when the deal goes down

All a-twitter ...4:38 pm

This guy is literally everywhere. Fred Thompson is defining anew what it means to create buzz for a political candidacy. (I have not yet given my much-sought-after endorsement to Fred, but to say he’s making virtually all the right moves is not to overstate the case.)

Checking out Fred’s YouTube profile, I noticed that he has favorited a few videos uploaded by other people. That includes this one: a musical salute called “I’ve Got a Crush on Fred Thompson’s Politics,” which, aside from being sung in a distinctly Dylanesque style, also steals some ideas from Bob’s famous Subterranean Homesick Blues film clip. It’s by someone named James Kole. Click here to see it directly on YouTube, or play below.

You can also find Fred on MySpace and on something I’d never heard of until today (when Fred alerted me to it) and that’s Twitter.

Inspired by the hipness and savvy of Thompson, RWB has launched both a MySpace and a Twitter profile.

Now, if I only knew what in tarnation to do with these things.

Fred, can you help a guy out?

Addendum: Alright — get a little more Fred buzz at YouTube by watching this: someone (maybe in his campaign, or maybe a rogue supporter, who knows) made a video clip to accompany Fred’s previously-aired radio commentary on global warming. It’s not bad at all. Click here or below.

Fred does seem to be the only leading candidate willing to voice any skepticism over the so-called “settled science” of man-made-global warming, and that alone makes him stand out from the crowd in an extremely appealing way.
