Tommy Makem 1932 - 2007 ...10:22 am
The great Irish singer Tommy Makem has passed on. In those early years in the Village, of-course, the young Bob Dylan was tight with Tommy Makem and the Clancy brothers, and spoke in the No Direction Home interview of his awe at how Tommy would put over a song. (More on their influence on Dylan is here.)
