In a post a few days ago, I took to task Marilyn vos Savant (listed in the “Guinness Book of World Records Hall of Fame” under “Highest IQ”), mainly for her cockamamie ideas about whether dogs know their names. It turns out I’m not alone in turning to her column solely in order to aggravate myself. Click the following link if you wish to explore and revel in the many glorious ways in which Marilyn is wrong! Those who publish Parade magazine can hardly be dismayed that so many read her in order to catch her in falsehoods. The critical fact, I guess, is that they are reading her.

Addendum: I noticed after posting this entry that the Google ad at the top of the page changed, on one viewing at least, to a banner promoting “Dog Poop Bags.” Well, although I have my reservations over how such an ad sets the tone for the content of this site (I know some would not), I do find it preferable to those persistent “Jesus Didn’t Exist?” ads. And “100 bags for $5.99″ sounds like a good deal to me.
