Manager, dog and chef ...8:48 pm
In an interview with Britain’s Guardian, Henry Rollins (a musician, spoken word artist, activist etc.) provides the following tidbit:
“Dylan fascinates me,” he says. “I knew a guy who was driving his tour bus for a time and I said, ‘What’s the Dylan bus like?’ He said, ‘It’s just him, his manager, his dog and his chef. As the last note of the last song is ringing he’s already on the bus and gone. He’s out of there, down the road.’”
That’s the way to travel.

When I first saw the headline, Dylan Eucharist Service, I thought: Uh oh.
But, tomorrow at the United Methodist Church in Geneva, Illinois, they are only going so far as to use Bob Dylan’s music in their liturgy. An interesting and thoughtful selection of songs too.

On a different note, there’s this headline today: Obama Assures Idaho Voters He Believes in Jesus Christ, Gun Rights. Obviously he’s decided to run to the right of John McCain.
