The world can breathe a sigh of relief. The technical problems at RightWingBob.com have been all but straightened out. We were under attack not by ideological foes — although I know that would be so much sexier — but by more common or garden scoundrels who were exploiting a hole in the Wordpress blogging platform to set up phantom pages promoting the sale of viagra, ritalin and other pharmacological treats. Readers of the actual site wouldn’t have noticed. Now, after a long overdue upgrade and overhaul, that vulnerability has hopefully been eliminated. In the course of things, however, the changes necessitated some shifting around of data. Those who use the RSS feeds will need to adjust them. And links out on the web to particular posts are very likely to be wrong, unfortunately — the numerical order of the posts was changed. The links will go to something, but not to the same post that was originally there.
