How it looked a little earlier at my polling place:

My voting place is an old public high school, which has been under some kind of mysterious exterior reconstruction for over two years now. The construction workers are there late into the evening, on weekends, almost all the time. When they aren’t there, there is a 24-hour security guard watching the debris. Nobody knows what they are actually doing, but that it involves gargantuan cost overruns is beyond any doubt. The public school system in New York City is of-course a huge and inefficient communist money pit, and this is just one small example. If you got to the bottom of what they are doing, and why it’s taking so long, I’m certain that it would involve meeting some kind of insane code requirements for NYC public schools, and the unions would be heavily involved.

Anyhow, it seemed to me that the lines were shorter today than they were four years ago, when I voted at a similar time of day. I have heard or seen concurring reports of relatively normal to light turn-out at places in New York where you would expect the liberals (limousine and otherwise) to be lining up around the block for what we keep being told is such an historic election. I don’t know that this means, if anything. But for what it’s worth, that’s a slice of election life from this den of elitist iniquity.
