Can You Believe It? ...10:41 am
A few days ago I linked to a YouTube video, of Bob Dylan singing I Believe In You in 1979 on “Saturday Night Live.” Yesterday, it was removed by the administrators of YouTube, citing a complaint from NBC about copyright infringement.
Oh my! Heavens forbid! People are watching a low-resolution five minute clip of Saturday Night Live from twenty-seven years ago!
Well, there’s no sense appealing — NBC would clearly seem to be within their rights. I wonder, though: Do they have interns scouring YouTube for any NBC-sourced content, so that it can be quickly zapped? It seems so, well, last century.
