Another side of Bob and more!

The tempest may howl and the loud thunder roar
And gathering storms may arise
But calm is my feeling, at rest is my soul
The tears are all wiped from my eyes

On the Road Again ...1:41 pm

RWB is going to be out of the office for next several days, until Tuesday in fact. I’m going to try and post when possible but can’t be sure how that will work out. Very tough on the world, I know, and at a time of big happenings just about everywhere. (And I’m also behind on Theme Time Radio Hours again.)

One of the things it would be nice to contemplate at greater length is the defeat of staunch Bob Dylan fan Joe Lieberman in the Democratic primary in Connecticut yesterday, by anti-war millionaire Ned Lamont. A good thing for Republicans, arguably, since Joe is favored to win as an independent candidate in the general election in November — and there would then be one less certified Democrat in the senate. And some say it’s good for Republicans that the Democrats are increasingly seen to be driven by the “moonbat” left. But it’s not good for the country that the Democratic Party more and more presents, as the only alternative to the status-quo, a policy of surrender in Iraq and — ultimately — in the broader war with jihadism. I would disagree with Lieberman on many things, but I’ve never seen reason to doubt that he loves his country and is ultimately governed by that love of country when the chips are down. It would be better and safer for everyone if the Democratic Party didn’t find that kind of thing to be anathema these days.

In case there’s nothing to see here for a while, here’s a picture of my dog, Billie, to engage the eyes and soothe the brain …

Billie
