James W. Von Brunn, the eighty-eight year-old man accused of being the gunman at the Holocaust Museum who today killed security guard Stephen Tyrone Johns before being stopped by other security guards, is by all appearances a true Nazi. See some of his writing (if you care to subject yourself to it) at the charmingly titled website www.AntiChrist.net: Christianity and the Holocaust. He hates Christians as much as he hates Jews. Or perhaps that should be: He hates Christianity as much as he hates Jews. It is the Jews he would have exterminated. When it comes to white Christians, at least, it is merely their religion that he would wish to completely eliminate. In his deranged essay he expounds on his theory that St. Paul (a Jew) concocted Christianity in order to bring down the Roman Empire. And the Jews and Christians, he maintains, continue in their mission to destroy the Aryan gene-pool.

At first, it might seem hard to believe that this kind of anachronistic evil still exists in the world. But then we know better: People with views every bit as extreme, sordid and absurd wield great power in numerous nations of this earth, even today. (One of them is up for “reelection” in Iran even as I write this.)

Condolences to the family of Stephen Tyrone Johns. And thank God for those other security guards who with their quick action and good shooting prevented more lives from being lost.
