I and I ...5:32 pm
In this week’s The Weekly Standard, I’m very pleased to say, is a review that RWB wrote (under the nom-de-plume of “Sean Curnyn”) of Greil Marcus’s book Like A Rolling Stone. The review speaks for itself, I guess. The timing might seem a little tardy, considering how long ago the book in question came out. I wrote the review back around the time of the book’s release, but of-course I had no control over when it might be printed. As it happens, though, I think the publication date has turned out to be highly serendipitous, since both the book and my review of it are treading territory similar to Scorsese’s No Direction Home, which everyone happens to be talking about. Blame it on a simple twist of fate (or the wisdom of The Weekly Standard’s Books & Arts Editor) . By the way, the “bio” line at the end mentions that the reviewer is writing a book. Well, it’s not imminently hitting the streets or anything, but rest assured I will keep you informed.
