Correction issued by Christian Science Monitor (in print edition, at this point) ...4:29 pm
On September 1st, 2006, the Christian Science Monitor attributed a quote to Bob Dylan, to the effect that in 2003 he called himself “a 62-year-old Jewish atheist.” (Original post here.) This was apparently a misattribution of a statement made by Dylan’s then producer Jerry Wexler, speaking about himself, in 1979. Today, in the September 8th print edition of the Christian Science Monitor, in the same Weekend Section where the misquote originally appeared, there is a correction, on page 14 (snapshot below).

The Weekend Section editor, Stephen Humphries, says in an e-mail that he will “check with the online folks about a correction at csmonitor.com.”
