In a stunning upset to conventional wisdom, the Detroit Tigers devastated the New York Yankees — no question about it — and now move on to face Oakland in the best-of-seven American League Championship Series. If they win four of those games, they go on to the World Series where they will face the National League champions.
Bob Dylan’s baseball-prophet status remains intact (he picked Detroit as his favorite 2006 team back in August, in an interview for Rolling Stone magazine, as previously reported here).
