Not being a Citibank customer, I haven’t heard the tracks from Christmas In The Heart which they are purveying via their website, and I haven’t personally heard them anywhere else. I’ve seen reports on message boards from people who have heard them, and those reports are very positive indeed. If I don’t hear the album until I get the CD next week, that’s fine with me. (Before Christmas, one must have Advent, after all.)

My chief concern — in the wake of certain press reports — has been whether there would be any alteration in the track list that we had already seen. I see no indication so far that there has been any change. If you go today to the Amazon page and click “Listen to samples” you won’t have any samples to listen to, but you will see a list of the same 15 songs of which we already knew. As far as I’ve seen, no one who has accessed it via Citibank has mentioned any “missing” tracks, or any extra ones.

And then, since there’s no vinyl edition this time around, we also must live in hope that the CD mastering is as good as it ought to be.
