You need to use Internet Explorer to watch it on the DoD website, but it’s well worth watching, if you ask me: Peter Pace’s tribute to Donald Rumsfeld, and Rummy’s own farewell speech and final Q & A as Secretary of Defense.
Robert Gates has incredibly large shoes to fill. These are not ordinary times. His comments at this week’s confirmation hearings gave no indication he’s remotely up to the job, from my point of view, but we have to live in hope.
