A Soldier’s Grave ...1:43 pm
If Hank Williams called it a hymn, it’s a hymn. He also called it “one of the prettiest songs I reckon anybody ever wrote.” That’s Searching For A Soldier’s Grave, a song which Bob Dylan performed live on one hundred and eleven occasions between the year 2000 and the year 2002, according to the Dylantree database. Hank Williams made the aforementioned remarks about it when he performed it on a 1951 radio show (sample here).
