Fredlog ...1:49 pm
Former senator Fred Thompson continues his string of political commentaries with one tackling the myth of wonderful, free Cuban health care, in which he earns plenty of kudos from us gun-totin’ neo-McCarthyites by knocking not only Fidel Castro but also Michael Moore.
Meanwhile, Knoxville’s Metro Pulse has a somewhat longwinded but interesting feature piece on Fred’s history in Tennessee politics, and what it may say about how he’ll run for president (if he runs for president).
Today, ten declared Republican candidates for president will debate in Simi Valley, California. Tomorrow, the as yet undeclared Fred Thompson will deliver what you might call a “highly anticipated” speech in Orange County, California. Thompson’s doing pretty well in the publicity-stakes for someone with no campaign money, no campaign staff, and no campaign. Interesting stuff.
